Coaching

Procrastination is hurting you,  your career and your relationships. You know this, you feel it every day, and yet the pattern continues.

I am Chris Waterguy, accredited life coach, and I’ve trodden this road. With an attention deficit disorder undiagnosed until adulthood, having passion for life but lacking the skills I needed to change myself and achieve my goals, I have delved into the art and science of procrastination and motivation, looking for answers and finding them. What I have learnt since then continues to transform my life, and I’d love for you to experience the same.

It’s not a matter of just trying harder. Ironically, procrastination is a much more difficult road. I’ll show you how to conserve your willpower while getting things done, as well as how to grow your willpower. I’ll also guide you through tackling the other less obvious but potentially more important root causes of procrastination, from the tactical to the emotional.

My approach is a little different from standard life coaching, as it is informed by an evidence-based understanding of the brain, behaviour and emotion, while also using multiple modalities and techniques to find the best solution for you.

I am available for business and personal coaching.

Services

Coaching is via video call or phone (or in person in Melbourne, Australia).

The right package depends on your needs, but I recommend at least 3 calls to start with. Every two weeks works well, but I work with some clients weekly or twice weekly, for large goals and more intensive coaching.

Learning, qualifications and certification

My formal qualifications in coaching (certified by Australian Board of NLP) are:

  • Master Life Coach
  • Master NLP practitioner

Equally important, I take a deep, continuing interest in mindfulness, positive psychology, neuroscience, neuroeconomics, applied rationality, hypnotherapy and behaviour change and am an alumni of the Center For Applied Rationality (CFAR).

Most importantly of all, I have years of experience as a master procrastinator, before determining to master the development of focus, attention and willpower.

With my background in engineering and science, I believe in a rigorous, reality-based approach. More about me.
